Body Ecology Diet, and change your health?

I think I may have posted a few things about this in the past, but never started a thread about it. I am not on this diet, but am posting the experience of a friend.

First of all, this is all about changing gut ecology, not about treating any sort of disease, losing weight, etc. Those may be benefits from the diet, but if you need to gain weight, it could actually help you gain weight as well. Anything going on in your body could be benefitted by changing the gut ecology. We seem to have several people here with big health challenges. I would go on this diet if I had any sort of health challenge.

My friend called me because I knew more about diabetes than any other person she knew. Her first pregnancy resulted in a stillborn baby. Her second pregnancy was when she discovered that she had gestational diabetes. Her blood sugars returned to normal after the birth. About a year later, she started having high blood sugars again. This was really not explained by anything like her diet, which was good, or her weight, which was fine. The first two times she called me, I told her the usual stuff--buy a glucose monitor, and try to discover what food makes her blood sugars go haywire. I told her to avoid simple carbohydrates, and even limit carbohydrates in general, yada, yada. Generally I just became to her what the trained diabetes educators do.........and it didn't work. I test energetically, but then, so does she. I did discover some things that she had in common energetically with people who had diabetes. That just frustrated her. She did have lots of relatives with Type 2 diabetes.

It was only when she mentioned her continual sinus infection that it rang a bell with me, because sinus infections are generally fungal. So, I asked about candida. She said THAT'S IT??? She had asked the doctor if this was candida related, and the doctor had told her NO. It turns out that she had had some gut issues her entire life. Because she does energetic testing, I asked her to test herself to see if the gut issues were at the root of her high blood sugars and the answer was YES.

I told her to go on an anti candida diet but had no recommendations beyond that. She found out about the Body Ecology Diet, and bought the book. Within a week she was getting results. It was only when she added a little bit of inulin (a PRE biotic, not a probiotic) to the Body Ecology Diet that she got 100% results. Her lifelong gut issues completely disappeared and her blood sugars became completely normal.

Most chronic ailments can be negatively impacted by gut issues. This is a diet that emphasizes fermented foods and eliminates sugar. It has you making your own kefir and things like that.

If I had health challenges, or was tired a lot, and wanted good health, I would try this diet. You can look at the Amazon reviews and decide if it is worthwhile. I could not even find a positive review that mentioned blood sugars. Again, this is not about treating a disease......at all.

FOS (fructooligosaccharides) and inulin are examples. Interestingly Edgar Cayce recommended jerusalem artichoke for diabetes, and it is full of inulin. However, he got mixed up and said it contained insulin........LOL. NO!!

A little inulin can go a long way sometimes. It comes in a powder. I would probably energetically test this before consuming it to see the amount needed (if any).

Cayce made his recommendations while in a sleep or trance state. His readings were taken down by a secretary. Cayce said he never remembered what he said when he was in the sleep or trance state.

A few months after going on the diet, she became pregnant again. She never had a a blood glucose level anywhere close to being high during the pregnancy. Almost everyone who has diagnosed gestational diabetes with one pregnancy gets it the next pregnancy. Probably she had it in the first pregnancy that resulted in stillbirth, but not diagnosed.

from what I've read. I also like this book:

I've ordered freeze dried kefir starter. In recent years I haven't taken probiotics (even). But I had a 13 day sample of a product that literally flaked off and removed a wart on my wrist. That's some major immune action. For herbals, Pau 'd Arco is divine.

I sometimes take a product called Candida Clear, with Pau'd arco in it. I have some issues too, but generally feel good enough not to make kefir, go on this diet, etc. If I feel a tendency to overload of candida, I start putting lime in water and drinking it, and take Candida Clear for three or four days.

But if I had health challenges, I would do all of the above, including the diet.

My sister has all the symptoms you mentioned, CONSTANT sinus infections, even after sinus surgery, irritable bowl, and now diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I am sure she wouldn't do the diet, would the Candida Clear still help her some? She does take supplements.

Maybe you could point her to this thread.

I only have that one experience to report. Even that is only an anecdote, albeit a rather dramatic one.
