Okay, Mr. Santorum. Let's say your view of the "Separation of Church and State" is

the true way that the United States of America should be treating Religion in Politics.

Let's say that the U.S. should not have a "separation" between the Church and State.

No, let's not go to whether or not your church would pay taxes. Let's not go to whether or not your church would force their views on contraception and abortion on the rest of the population of the U.S. Let's not go to how the traditional stance of your religion of choice was to stay out of wars.

Let's go to whether or not you would legally be allowed to follow the Catholic Church at all in the United States. Let's put it this way ...

Lincoln's assassination could be argued as the 19th century equivalent of 9/11/2001.

The Catholic Church hated Republicans.

One of the conspirators of the assassination of Lincoln was Catholic.

Anti-Catholic sentiment was high among the Republicans of the time. Think "Islam" and "Muslims" in today's rhetoric as spewed by Republicans.

Suddenly, by Rick Santorum's view of the separation of Church and State, the Republican Party, having defeated the South in a bloody civil war ... would outlaw Catholicism in the United States of America.

Would you support YOUR religion of choice being driven out of your "country I love"?

Would you support YOU being unable to practice your religion of choice in the United States?

Would YOU be willing to live in that tyrannical, theocratic United States, having to face TRUE OPPRESSION EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE, because you are NOT in the religion of the majority?
