To all my DU friends who celebrate. My wish would be for all to understand this important time. When I was a kid living in Miami.. all we knew was the Jewish kids had a holiday n all of us Gentiles were put in the same class. No one explained why. We just knew they got their holiday n we got ours but they didn’t have to come to school..so sad. Could have been a great opportunity to educate..it was school, after all. That was in the 50’s n 60’s. In north Miami Beach.
