Here's a snapshot of a few big-ticket items that transpired this past week:

Iron Dome

After Congress passed the 2022 omnibus bill that included $1 billion to replenish Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system, which protects Israelis from rockets attacks from all directions, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett issued two tweets - one in English and one in Hebrew (see below) - thanking the President for his leadership and friendship. In the Hebrew version, the Prime Minister wrote:
"אני רוצה להודות במיוחד לנשיא ביידן, שבפגישתנו הבטיח שהסיוע יעבור - ועמד במילתו"
This translates as "I would like to especially thank President Biden, who when we met had promised that the aid would pass - and he stood by his word."
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan later tweeted that we are "grateful to see full funding for replenishment of Iron Dome after months of work between the White House and Congress. @POTUS's commitment to Israel’s security is ironclad."
