(Jewish Group) I've been spoiled for a while But this week at my new job

I was told to pray to Jesus. I live in a big city. Our program moved to a suburb over an hour from the city. Been hospice work since 2005. Chaplains have always lead the centering at the meeting when we discuss patients who have died . I'm used to the chaplains reading poem, the chaplains doing relaxation exercises, the chaplains reading something funny that we all relate to. I have never had a chaplain lead a prayer for the patients who died to go to Jesus. My friend who came with me from the old job is an atheist and she is very pissed, too. We aren't sure what to do. We don't know if they do this every week. It's not just us. It is so disrespectful to the families of those who died that someone is praying about them going to Jesus if they don't believe in Jesus.

I am wondering if in red states this is the norm and non Christians mostly put it out of their minds and I'm just a bit of a spoiled city Jew.

2. I would say it out straight that he's being disrespectful to you. Maybe

he hasn't been challenged on it before but he damn well should be. You could also offer a prayer from Judaism and see how much of a bigot he is by refusing !

3. Neither prayer would be respectful for the families of those who died if they are

Muslim, Atheists or other religions.

I did get an email from the company about Trans inclusion which was nice.

I probably will wait a few weeks till things settle down and talk to my boss if praying to Jesus becomes a regular thing at our interdisciplinary team meetings.
