the most treasured thing i got while cleaning out my grandparent's apartment

this mezuzah hung outside their apartment in flushing for 40 odd years and i came across it in a drawer.

we also got the menorah, the haggadah, the little torah and my grandfather's teffilin from his youth. we didn't even know grandpa was raised orthodox until the funeral.

we identify as only being cultural jews, but these items were important to that identity.

Have the scroll checked by a scribe, and remount it proudly.

Then do just one easy mitzvah that means something to someone.

If inclined, do another the next day.
