The Huna Death Prayer and How It Can Be Used to Heal

http://paranormaldimension.blogspot.com/2007/03/huna-death-prayer-and-how-it-can-be.html

I had a copy of a book, "Secrets of Kahuna Magic" by Brad Steiger that had a chapter on this prayer. It is very much a hidden topic online. No references on YouTube. As I recall, and I'm writing this from memory only, Max Freedom Long spent time documenting the religious and belief systems of Kahuna from the last of the practitioners before their culture dropped it. I think he did this in the 1940s from conversations from old Hawaiians who knew its methods from the period of time before western culture intervened, or so the story goes, so that means from people who knew it from the 1880s. That's about all I remember.

You're the first person I've met who has also made even a cursory study of Huna. I was drawn to it because it was one of the fire walking religions, and I find those fascinating. In order to obtain my 1st degree Initiation into Wicca, I had to study one religion beyond the one I was brought up in, and I chose Huna. That was decades ago... thank you for reminding me of it! Blessings!

so he was probably fighting some demons at the time. I see the book I mentioned in reprint, don't know if it's the same text.

Glad to hear your perspective on it, because I never really compared it to other religions, I actually thought it kind of mainstream Hawaiian because of the way the book presented it. With the amount of to put it mildly conflict in our modern society, I'm surprised the Kahuna Death Prayer never caught on. We'll leave it there for another day. lol

I've ever seen was on a "History Channel" episode that was tapping into the "weirder" aspects of religious practices around the world. Fire walking made the cut, and Huna made one of the religions they featured. I've always been a seeker, but I don't think I'd ever have enough faith in anything to get me to walk across hot coals! (LOL)
