Happy Birthday, Niels Bohr

Bohr is known for his contributions to Quantum Mechanics and for a rather apocryphal statement to a young colleague:
"We've already decided that your hypothesis is crazy; we're just arguing over whether it's crazy enough to be true!"

He was brilliant, the first to take quantum physics seriously, even before Schroedinger, Heisenberg, and Pauli.

His model of the Hydrogen atom was not correct, but it predicted correctly its emmision lines. Without that, quantum physics gets postponed.

A brilliant guy.

BTW, his flight to safety from occupied Denmark during WW II is legendary.
