Fossils reveal 'missing links' in Earth's evolution after dinosaurs...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23152462
(Good video on same page.)

"What is now a dry, harsh mountain desert in south-west Wyoming was once a lush subtropical landscape with lakes, volcanoes and an abundance of wildlife.

In "The Lost World of Fossil Lake", Lance Grande, the distinguished service curator at the Field Museum in Chicago, takes us back more than 50 million years to reveal how North America developed in the period after the extinction of the dinosaurs."

Time was, back in the days of my natural science classes, the "missing link" trope was just a rhetorical figure used to emphasize the great gaps in the fossil record.

Now, fossils worldwide seem to be delivering up more and more of their secrets. We hear daily of new discoveries and technological advances.

The Creationist camp will of course discount or ignore this latest evidence discrediting their Bible-based theory.

I like the idea of someone finding the missing links creationists have been bitching about

from the U of Chi press. I missed your original post last week.

How can the evolution deniers continue their polemic in the face of such irrefutable proof? The body of evidence grows every larger. Truly awe-inspiring.
