A study led by Jonathan Tilly of the Massachusetts General Hospital overturns the decades-long idea that women are born with all the eggs they will ever have. It reports that women of reproductive age carry ovarian stem cells, meaning that they can produce new eggs.

I think medical science has ASSumed too much about women's bodies and women's lives for far too long. Actual study will probably turn up a lot more than this.
The idea that we were born with a finite supply of immature ova has always bugged me. It's not how male gonads work and I doubted very sincerely it's how ovaries work.

even though I probably learned this in college biology class, I never gave it a thought, just as I never worried about running out of my .... well, you know.
Women, however, it appears from this discovery must have some sort of clinical intervention.
