Except possibly in the vacuous sense of passing a Turing test.

It seriously pays to recognize that "artificial intelligence" means one thing to people working in the field and quite a different thing to lay folk.

I'm a retired software engineer. Yes, I know "real" AI (which probably doesn't even exist yet) from fake AI.
