Mysterious Swarms of Giant Drones Keep Appearing at Night Over Colorado

IRENE JIAN, BUSINESS INSIDER
3 JAN 2020

Something strange has been happening in eastern Colorado at night.

Since the week of Christmas, giant drones measuring up to 6 feet (1.8 metres) across have been spotted in the sky at night, sometimes in swarms as large as 30.

The Denver Post first reported these mysterious drone sightings in northeastern Colorado on December 23. Since then, sightings have spanned six counties across Colorado and Nebraska.

Phillips County Sheriff Thomas Elliott had no answer for where the drones came from or whom they belonged to but did have a rough grasp on their flying habits.

this is really about. It's also strange to me that it's not seen as some type of national security issue, at least until it's understood what it's all about.

How hard would it be to discover the frequencies for the transmitters by scanning for them in common bands and then triangulating the location of the source?

I mean, that seems to be the way to "solve" who is doing it and it isn't that complex these days.

Denver seems to be an odd place to test big drones for package deliveries, but maybe that's where they're being developed. Testing at night also seems a little bizarre, but delivery companies would likely want that capacity.
