Robot's who'd first replicate themselves by mining for all the raw materials necessary, and then building copies of themselves with those raw materials.

And then the massive robot army ... that built itself ... would 'build our cities'. I guess also by mining all the raw materials there on Mars?

Riiiiiiiight.

...fiction writer, he's pretty looney.

That "Stop Cassini, or we're all going to die!" crap was obscene, particularly since so many serious scientists had invested their whole career in that magnificent effort.

The pop science media stuff seems to have left a few short circuits under that magnificent haircut.

Thanks for giving me the low down by opening the video so I didn't need to do it, not that I was about to do so.
