(3,115 posts)I guess these were not shown in order not to embarrass the astronauts or the country. But that was delightful. Learning how to walk, fall, and get back up included.

(6,376 posts)I watched every single EVA that was broadcast back then. I was obsessed with spaceflight and the moon missions.
A lot of the later missions after Apollo 11 had moon walk broadcasts at 2 or 3 in the morning on the east coast. I used to set my alarm and turn on our 1 color tv to watch, hoping not to wake up my parents. The golf shot, the Lunar Rover, and some of these spills were all shown on tv.
I am so thankful I got to see it live.
