Priest Claims Hate Texts Are From Demon SpiritA Polish priest claims he has been getting hate texts - from a demon.
Parish priest Father Marian Rajchel from Jaroslaw, a town in south-eastern Poland, said he started getting the texts after carrying out an exorcism on a teenage girl.
But he said that the attempt to drive out the devil from the girl's soul clearly failed, and that it was now using the teenager to attack him by using mobile phone messages.
He told local media: "The author of these texts is an evil spirit who has possessed her soul."

I'm an atheist, but suppose it is a demon? Then you're going to look stupid. Real atheists like me keep their minds open to all possibilities.

I admit to being disappointed when I saw the "Extended" version. Just IMO, it really went over-the-top and into Standard Horror Movie territory. I think the producers and Friedkin (I guess) made the right decision in cutting those scenes. The "Standard" version kept the action/storyline more focused.
A couple of recentish horror movies I liked, since I'm here:
"The New Daughter" (2009) - with Kevin Costner and Ivana Baquero (from "Pan's Labyrinth" . Directed by Luis Berdejo. If you move your family to a gloomy Dixie mansion with a suspicious burial mound in the back yard, your new daughter is probably not going to be an improved and spiffier model.
I wanted to see how ol' Costner would do in a horror movie. Thought he did surprisingly well! The movie is very creepy and atmospheric, just the way I like horror movies.
"Sinister" (2012) - true-crime writer moves into a new house. (There's a theme here!) Former occupants were a family slaughtered by a serial killer. Writer finds a box of old 8MM movies that are a lot more than they seem.
Features ol' Fred Dalton Thompson in a minor part as a Sheriff. Disappointingly, he does not arrest himself for reverse mortgage fraud...
