Atheists & Agnostics

That's the message that was on the marquee at one of the fundie churches I pass on my way to work. In what other area of life is it okay to threaten someone with death and get away with it? Can you imagine the uproar if McDonald's threatened Burger King customers with death for eating at the wrong fast food joint?
The sign illustrates two things: 1) religion enjoys a privilege far above it's benefit to society; 2) religion IS a delusion.

Otherwise, the bozo of a preacher needs to be reminded that he, too, is going to die and when he does, his flock will wonder what horrible sins he'd been hiding.

(13,485 posts)make his payday just as close as mine. That is as along as he isn't upping the ante by taking arms against his sea of troubles which would be us. We seem to be his side ache for some reason. Does it make sense to hate and fear an ideological minority who have no religious texts or organization? Does it make sense for such people to amass themselves to pick off a few vulnerable individuals in the name of their god? How adult of them.

(6,452 posts)They often post snotty little finger-wagging messages for non-believers. Usually with either an implied threat of hellfire or promises of the magic of jebus' kingdom in heaven.
Not surprisingly, they also have the "homosexuality is a death style, not a lifestyle" slogan posted at least once or twice a year.
