that one shot, at the very end, when a woman is looking up through a bulky helmet, as if with trepidation, then she obviously breaks into a smile, but you can't see her mouth, only her crinkling eyes....made me lumpy.

what a sap I can be.

so easily manipulated.

.... but I seriously don't feel "invited" out there.

We aren't welcome.

Hell, we can't live on 2/3s of our own planet!

...can't you share a little of the Awe?

Your ruining my vibe man...

While I fully admit that, historically, humans haven't been the best at "treading lightly" but, in rebuttal, I'd like to quote a character from Monty Python's Holy Grail:
"I'm getting better..."

Plus I thought the Herman Melville quote was inspirational:

“As for me, I am tormented with an everlasting itch for things remote. I love to sail forbidden seas, and land on barbarous coasts.”

― Herman Melville, Moby-Dick; or, The Whale

And again, I will grant that the usage of "barbarous" carries a lot of baggage, but come on guys....

you are ruining my vibe....

Don't be bummed out.

I wasn't really referring to technology or anything like that...but mere physics. Physics keeps us in place. We're adapted for here and that's why I don't think we're...symbolically.... welcome. Actually, nature doesn't care: she's indifferent.

But the fantasy is awesome bro!
