Are enough DU'ers coming for us to have a check-in thread? I hope!

(535 posts)see a thread with links to video from it.
Can that be arranged? Youtube? Live feeds? Something?
I want as much as soon as it is available, and I think this forum, (which I just discovered) is the right place around DU to see it and post about it.
Thanks.

This forum's a good place for any DU member to post their pictures or videos of the rally!
I'm taking a camera, if I get anything good I'll post it in the group.
(of course I hope lots of Republicans will be there too Penn Gillette is speaking, so that's one.)

(535 posts)I don't know that much about the American atheist movement. I spent most of my last 20 years in Europe as a U.S. citizen voting absentee, and coming home once or twice a year for family events, (Christian based), and then went back to living in Paris, Berlin, Geneva, London, and worrying more about America's wars destroying the world than about atheist Republicans and Democrats in the USA, which, I bet, are few and far between.
Suffice to say, I am back in the USA, and can view videos on my TV or computer with high speed internet, so anything that you offer, and I hope you can offer a lot. I have to live on my pension now, and $1000 trips to DC have to be well-planned. This event came to my attention too late to plan, and, frankly, is NOT what I would do to promote atheism in the USA this time of year.
I have met many European atheists who marvel that the USA is slow to catch up to the atheism around the globe. Wondering why America give so much of a break to Christians and Jews and Muslims when it comes to "worship" which is mostly political here now.
