Jim Cavanaugh just now on MSNBC, concerning today's church shooting in Texas:

"They (churches) are the target of evil because they do so much good."

Who wants to bet against my guess that the murderer will turn out to be very religious?

Terrorist (normally white Christian)

Young mentally ill person inspired by drugs, social media and video games, as well as the famous church massacre scene from The Kingsmen

The church video records all survives to watch on You Tube. This should provide a lot of info.

about this evil that's killing the good church people?
Has he identified an enemy other than some blanket term he calls evil?
Or is he leaving it to all the good church people to identify this broad concept he calls evil?
If we aren't part of his "good church people" are we evil?

I hate these broad brush, mythical thinking, everything in simple tiny baskets non-thinkers.

I saw a story about him being an atheist, but I think it was debunked as fake news.

You just know that if he was truly an atheist, the thumpers will proclaim that all atheists are evil, but when a Christian does something horrific, well, we're not all like that at all.

So much hypocrisy
So many double standards
