Atheists & Agnostics

Here is the only (nonsensical) response where a reason was given, where one of the six actually had the courage to state a "reason" for voting not to hide the post you see further below.
Who chooses what brains are allowed to post on DU? Anyone can post, as long as they want to and are not banned for being too Republican looking?
Here is the self-contradictory reason someone here voted to leave a post alone.
Five out of six voted to leave the following post:
That last quote, the summation of a post by someone who believes he is a Christian. Amazing how this goes here. Christians get away with insulting an atheist, because, in the jurors' minds, BOTH people are insulting.

(18,219 posts)Without being able to see the back and forth conversation, I am not sure if I would agree or disagree with this juror. There are discussions and there are nasty arguments, and I have seen both Christians and atheists starting shit.
On the face of this one post, I would have voted to hide it---I am sick and tired of the lowest common denominator in debates here. I find telling another DUer that they are "full of shit" to be unacceptable. And I usually vote on just the post alerted...but I will look at other parts of the discussion just in case there is a reason that the statement is true.

(18,219 posts)Yes, it did degenerate, but that was the first personal attack. I hate to see one of us go to the personal in debates even if they are going downhill.

(111,273 posts)I don't often visit the ones that state tautologies are somehow logical and that those of us who know they're tautologies are (pick a pejorative, he's used them all).
