Looks like we are going into another La Nina

Which can make it a wet summer here in Oz. We are not particularly upset about this - farmers need the rain although the rest of the country doesn't need the flooding.

The downside is that while La Niña brings rain to SE Australia, it brings heat and drought to the US west coast which is already suffering.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, this is only the second time in recorded data that there have been four La Niñas in five years, the last ocurrence being over a century ago.
