I tried to stay on top of the updates but it was hard to be vigilant and I eventually had to sleep.

I was awake up until I saw the reports coming out of Ocracoke. I hope that the stranded get rescued soon and that no one was harmed.

The only addition to this post you may be interested in, that I can suggest is the fiman.nc.gov for real-time flooding information and up to date road conditions at https://flood.nc.gov/ncflood/.

Thanks again.❤

When I was young, mumble mumble years ago, we would spend 3 weeks every summer camping on the Outer Banks. Once they added the ferry to Ocracoke we camped right in the village there. A kid with a bike in a small town with friendly people who talked with a strange accent.

It is quite different now, but is still a special place for me.
