I see snow low on Larch Mountain, Silver Star, and the other Cascade foothills.

Mt. Hood Meadows ski area opened yesterday.

Sadly, a friend called from Colorado. The snow-making machines can not keep up with the melt there. Looks like another overdraft year for the Colorado River.

Glad there is some hope for the California reservoirs this spring.

In the area I lived out there. Those people will be happy! There were years their wells went dry, with little rain or snow, and it wasn't pretty. My well was always good.
