Two of the most popular planets in the night sky will shine together over the extended weekend -- a warmup for an even more impressive planetary showcase in June.

1. I got a good look at them yesterday...

But it's predicted that it will cloudy and rainy all weekend so there's that. Anyone who can see them this morning will see Venus and the crescent moon very close while Jupiter and Mars are higher and quite a but to the right of them while Saturn is just as far, again, higher and to the right. Venus and the Moon become visible shortly before the sun rises, today.

Probably by the end of June Venus will not be visible for a spell and then become visible in the evening, Mars and Jupiter will do the same later in the year.
