I think we could use a group

where we can interact with spouses of the same political leanings. I’m not looking for a dating forum, but those of us who have lost husbands and wives are often eager to hear advice and opinions from the people we relied upon most, mainly our like minded spouses.

i.e. - Where should I take my car for service and not get ripped off?

What is a good recipe for meatloaf in five steps or less?

What should I buy my granddaughter/grandson, niece, nephew, for Christmas?

In other words, not a dating venue, but a place for bereaved ppl to exchange ideas with other brilliant and heartbroken democratic colleagues.

Anyone else interested?

without having it sound like a dating thread or forum. ??

But I think it’s a good idea. I would like to interact with people of the (gasp) opposite sex who are also missing their spouses, and friendship and shared advice being the motive.

I think you need to post a thread asking for interest in such a group. Get 10 ppl to agree that they would want a group as such and bring it to the attention of the owners of the site. Maybe contact them first?

The casual banter is what I miss the most. I am ok with living alone, it's the silence that is so deafening.
My tv has been taken over by a bloviating idiot whose name I never want to hear again, and I can't believe
how many movies I have watched since my beloved and I were parted 2 years ago.
I can talk with my kids when they are not "too busy", but we never outgrow our need for friends, especially
friends who are emotionally and politically compatible.
