Mona Kimura's Next Fight Announced!
Friday, June 27, 2025 -- Venue: Korakuen Hall, Tokyo -- Satoko Ozawa vs. Mona Kimura in the Krush women’s flyweight division
A word or two about why Kimura's such an interesting athlete: She uses a style that hasn't been seen before in kickboxing. Instead of using roundhouse kicks or low kicks with a lot of hip rotation, Kimura uses her hopping kick like a jab to her opponent's head. It's effective because she's able to maintain stability while keeping her leg cocked and aimed--and when she fires off the kick, there's little warning. Everyone's watching to see just how far she can take this unusual technique.
