On speaking against universal health care

It's time someone tossed this into the discussion:

This is wrong and every Democratic should be outraged because this is the kind of attack that not only undermines core Democratic values, but gives aid and comfort to the very special interests and their allies in the Republican Party who are against doing what we want to do for America.

Anyone care to second this sentiment, or refute it?

But in 2008, a leading candidate was definitely against such attacks, as the quote shows.

convictions are only skin deep, like 'Opinion du Jour'. That's exactly why they are completely dumbfounded over how to deal with someone like Sanders who has had the same political convictions over a long period of time.

Every camper knows Bernie's not a democrat, so this is perfectly OK.

It's all about what the meaning of is is.

than a $1.75 taken out of every paycheck to provide universal care for ALL citizens. At least that's what Hillary supporters are telling us.

They think we don't know the difference. Even more unfortunate that in many cases they assume correctly - many Americans don't know the difference and will continue to vote against their best intrests.

...was for everyone to be able to have family leave when needed.

Health care will cost a lot more than that. Most people will still save money, and the money they do pay would be via taxes rather than insurance premiums to private companies. But still -- it really will be a lot more than $1.75 per paycheck.

the $1.75 was FMLA; my mistake. The net result is a huge reduction in the cost of medical care though.

Health insurance companies are the problem with our health care and when it is denied.
