(3,343 posts)It's hard to say... Drudge is very widely read... But you're talking about over 100,000 votes... very hard to know.

(6,282 posts)Of course, you have to wade through a lot of RW crap, but the format is worth it.

(975 posts)Some of the Republicans in my family support him. Which is really astonishing since these are deer hunting, pickup driving rednecks.
Let's not forget there's a lot of Repubs out there who hate their what their party is and they don't like Clinton. I expect we'll see a few Republicans go for Bernie before he's through.
Being an Independent all his life also helps.

(36,649 posts)how long did that attack take you to think up?
Funny how people like you never seem to comment on posts about the fact that Clinton's campaign chairman owns a lobbying firm that has weapons manufacturers, big pharma and saudi arabia as clients...
I guess you just "miss" those posts. lol.

(11,197 posts)America is hungry for change and a populist message...doesn't matter what political stripe you are if the message addresses your needs and desires.
What implication are your trying to make exactly?

(3,343 posts)that's the obvious conclusion, when you mash their two nonsensical attacks together.
Ronald Reagan and Karl Marx are their big heroes...

(18,115 posts)It could be Democratic Sanders supporters voting in the poll.
It could be honest crossover from independents and/or republicans.
It could be right wingers choosing him for a dishonest reason and they don't actually support him.
I think it is likely one of the first two. And that gives me no pause.
EdwardBernays
(3,343 posts)is independents...
Drudge is very widely read...
No reason to think a lot of those independents aren't voting Sanders...
TIME TO PANIC
(1,894 posts)Some of us remember when talking with each other got more done than demonizing each other. Something has got to give because we can't go on at each others throats.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)going to vote for Sanders because the whole tribe of Rs is a joke. Something tells me that's not what you want to hear. The Republicans are off the rails. Trump and Palin? "You're Fired and I Quit" One is a Reality Show turned politician. The other a Pollitician turned Reality Show. Really? You can't figure it out? I could go on down the list, but why bother.
So for the sane ones, It's Hillary or Bernie. Now, we do know that the favorability of HRC is "a bit" high especially with Republicans, and there is a lot of unreasonable hatred of her, and Bernie just happens to be an older white guy. Nothing wrong with that...he can't help it.
So, logic would infer that .... hmmmm, makes a lot of sense.
So, that's my pause...how about yours?

(45,251 posts)What changed?
After three decades of Third Way, the most liberal candidate who's run for President sticks to his liberal positions and gets Republican votes anyway. And, that's supposed to upset me? LOL! ok.

(14,594 posts)I mean, what on earth do you do if you're basically a sane person who genuinely believes in market solutions to a greater degree than most progressives?
You gonna vote for Rump? C'mon.
Clinton? Eeeew!
But Sanders? Well, here's the thing. Several Republicans and R-leaning independents I know like Bernie just fine. Oh, they don't agree with everything he wants by any means, but several people have told me that they feel Bernie is honest and appreciate the fact that they know where he stands.
I don't think we can really say that for Clinton. Oh, we know where she might stand today, but how will the focus groups shape the message tomorrow?

(29,503 posts)So who knows, he's angling for her so as to get another scoop....?
Also, I remember it was HIS site in 2004 that headlined (with that silly 1 Adam 12 flasher) "Kerry's alleged mistress flees the country" when a campaign assistant went to Africa on vacation. So you, that's the level of journalism on that site, from the FOUNDER.

(3,431 posts)People don't see that the government is working for them
in any way. They don't trust the politicians anymore, but
they want honesty, wherever it may come from.
Now, I don't believe for a moment that Cruz is honest,
but people seem to think so anyway.
Whether they like Bernie's policies or not, they believe
that he is honest, and that he wants to change things.
Lastly, as all of us know: There is a circle where the
extreme rw meets the left in many ways. That just
may be the case in this scenario a bit too.
