Doesn't change the fact that some libertarians and conservatives only support him because they don't want the 'establishment' to win. In a general election most of them will back Trump.

It would turn into relentless attacks on PP and siding with the Tea Party to "audit the fed." Great point in how much we have learned since he entered the race. Burr is even considering voting for him.
