The survey showed the president again has a chance of winning an electoral vote in the Omaha-based 2nd Congressional District, with the district split at 44 percent each for Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
The poll was conducted Sept. 17-20 by Wiese Research Associates of Omaha. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

(22,000 posts)Yes, it maybe. I think Indiana is definitely gone. North Carolina is a big maybe.
My opinion is you put all the volunteer resources you can there and try to win it, but if I were the Obama campaign I wouldn't spend any substantial amount of money for on 1 EV.

(4,551 posts)I wasn't suggesting that Obama was going to win the state of Nebraska itself.
I would point out though that in this same Nebraska poll, Romney is polling 4 points below John McCain's 15-point Nebraska margin in 2008. Romney is only up 11 points overall.
While that doesn't mean he's going to lose Nebraska, it could be indicative of a weaker level of support that will show up in other regions of the country.

(22,000 posts)I would imagine some of Nebraska gets some of Iowa's stations. I've been to Lincoln twice, but that was a long time ago so I don't remember much.
I did get to stand out on the big "N" on the University of Nebraska field.
