2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDes Moines Register paper endorsements coming tonight
Just a heads up. Should be interesting to see who they picked.
For reference, they picked Bradley in 2000, Edwards in 2004, Clinton in 2008.
The Des Moines Register has been endorsing candidates ahead of Iowa's presidential caucuses since 1988, but when it announces its latest picks Saturday evening, it'll be doing so in an upside-down political atmosphere in which once-vaunted traditions have become unwelcome reminders of insiderdom.

(1,238 posts)6. Hillary and Rubio is my guess
An O'Malley endorsement would be VERY interesting, and is also a high probability-- didn't think about it before, but it seems likely since he's a good fit for the state.
Maybe Kasich on Repub side. Would be surprising if Bernie got it.
