"Clinton possesses a breadth of experiences in public life unmatched by her Democratic opponents"
On the heels of her endorsement by The Des Moines Register, we have two more newspaper endorsements for Hillary. One in Iowa, the other in New Hampshire.
What both of these endorsements have in common are, they both mention how qualified Hillary is to be President and her unmatched breadth of experience.
I know some say these endorsements don't matter, but they do help and change the narrative of a campaign in a positive way. Run up enthusiasm to the Caucuses is very important.
Nate Silvers 538 posted that historically an endorsement by the DMR makes a 3% difference in the total vote. In a close race, like this one, it could make a difference.

When Clinton lost Iowa in 2008, the DMR endorsement was worth +1.1%. Again, in a close race endorsements like these could make a small, but important difference.

Without question, the 68-year-old Clinton possesses a breadth of experiences in public life unmatched by her Democratic opponents. In the "arena" at the fulcrum of national and international events since the '90s, Clinton requires no on-the-job training. She understands issues and knows leaders, both domestic and foreign, and appreciates the processes and peculiarities of the federal government from the perspective of both the legislative and executive branches.
From children to families to health care to human rights, including women's rights, to marriage equality, Clinton champions issues and positions true to traditional Democratic principles. She bolsters her domestic credentials with foreign policy experience as America's chief diplomat.

I just got tired of saying, "under the bus."
My statement stands.

(130 posts)But I live in Des Moines. I find the Registers endorsement neither upsetting nor surprising. I read and understand their editorial stance on the issues.
Yes, I am new to posting here but I have lurked for a while. I also admit to caucusing for Sanders.
Just want to make it clear I didn't register to shout anyone down.
