Paul Krugman: "I知 getting the kind of correspondence I usually get from Rush Limbaugh listeners"

I don't know, but this sucks if true.

Paul Krugman: "I’m getting the kind of correspondence I usually get from Rush Limbaugh listeners"

Paul Krugman and other wonks write their opinions about Bernie Sanders Health Care and Financial Reform plans, they aren't too impressed. No big deal, right? No. Krugman is now getting a taste of what Planned Parenthood’s Facebook experienced after their endorsement of Hillary.

It appears having an opinion that isn't Bernie favorable, making an endorsement of Hillary, etc., is not a wise thing to do these days.

Is this a part of the revolution?

Krugman seems to have outlived his usefulness, perhaps he should retire or take a job with some Wall Street firm. I think he would be comfortable there.

He's got lots riding on Hillary getting elected.

Can i "prove" this? No. Not unless you count Mr Krugmans abrupt change of tone, character
and sudden lack of common sense .. all out the window to shill for Hillary at every fucking
opportunity as proof.

What DUers don't seem to realize--and I'm baffled why this is--is this is Internet-wide behavior, not just here. (In fact DU as a website is struggling a bit, very odd happening for a primary season, which is to me personally, very sad) I think some of it started with the excitement and exuberance of the newly political--there's no denying Sanders tapped into that, politically naïveté ran right into the dissemination of decades of right wing smears against Clinton. She's certainly not above criticism. It's the type of criticism combined with promoting an ideologue candidate who started out a long shot--still is actually--and watch with growing excitement as he came up from far behind to becoming a real contender.

It's more complicated than that, it includes race and gender and power shifts that are perceived as loss. And the challenge of invisible privilege. The weariness of the non-democratic left struggling to have a true voice, and not finding it in the Democratic Party. There is zero point in attempting a complicated discussion here right now though. We are down to Internet memes for top arguing points.

Particularly over health care and the mandate. I think you must be misremembering. He was lukewarm on both of them at the time but he spent a lot of time supporting Clinton and the mandate.

(And I supported the mandate and still do, if we had a public option no one would care, and the public option is merely 2-3 pages of legislation that they took out, it could be put back in with the right Congress.)

Mr. Krugman, were you not the fellow that was essentially the liberal excuse to pour hate on Obama, as if he was some fool that should have listened to you. You help open the gate for a lot of so called "centrists" to attack him. I used to think the one silver lining of a Hillary admin was that she might give you a job. Since she won't, it will be fun to see how you snipe at her from your posh ivory tower.

if he doesn't like being criticized.

I like Krugman, but just like anyone who gets out there and expresses their views, adversaries come with that territory. He knows that. Sorry, but that's his problem, not mine.

There is a culture these days that crosses ideologies, an extreme form of intolerance and hatred for anything that or anyone that does not believe 100% as you do.
