Bernie Sanders fires up 1,250 in Cedar Falls

(snip)

“A few people on the top, whether they’re kings, queens, czars or billionaires should not determine the future of our country — you should,” he said.

He took exception to pundit and opposition claims he wouldn’t be able to win a general election in November and took aim at a “corrupt campaign finance system.” He pointed to his status as a fringe candidate nine months ago to polling ahead or tied with Hillary Clinton in early primary states for the Democratic nomination for the November general election.

He turned Clinton’s warnings on their head, telling the crowd voter apathy is good news for Republicans.

“Republicans win when people are demoralized and do not vote,” Sanders said.

1. If Bernie does not win the primary, many are going to be demoralized, both Democrats and those

who switched back from so-called "third" parties in order to be able to vote for Bernie in the primary and people who usually don't vote.

The stench of the fix being in has already turn off so many.

2. The best advice I can give to Bernie's supporters is that turnout is absolutely critical.

There is no room for complacency no matter what the polls say whether Bernie is up or down.

The keywords especially in a caucus is to be relentless in your determination, studious in your deliberations and faithful in presenting the message.

3. Why do you think that a fix has started already? What are the symptoms?

I thought the Bernie avalanche was knocking down all those stratagems like toothpicks, in series and en masse.

4. The media, the DNC. It has seemed obvious to me almost since he announced.

The Tyndall Report is very telling as to the media.

Whether the concerted effort succeeds is a separate issue, but they sure have been trying.

5. The media has been shooting blanks, though

Everything they post results in more support for Bernie. They haven't been able to turn the trends around. All they have done is make themselves look like ignoramuses and shills. (and yes, I'm talking about YOU, Krugman!)

The media would have to become as ugly as the Trumpster if they really wanted to slime Bernie. They would cease to be relevant as news sources at that point.

I notice that Trump isn't attacking Bernie, though!

And as for the DNC, DWS is going down, and the rest are keeping really low profiles.
