2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWill farmer Hillary start her spring "planting" early at tonight's Iowa town hall?
Planting questions is definitely her thing, which is important for the fall harvest

Who gets to ask questions? gosh, who is in charge of this forum? Who better than the co-chair of Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign in Iowa,
Dr. Andy McGuire.
Funny.....now that Hillary is struggling in the polls, it is suddenly possible for Hillary supporters to schedule events on weeknights.
Why didn't Dr. McGuire follow DNC precedent in order to 'maximize' exposure in the manner of Debbie Wasserman Schultz by scheduling it during the AFC and NFC championship games?

(24,411 posts)it will be obvious. There have been grumblings about Dr. Andy McGuire being the person managing the logistics for this event. She's the head of the Iowa Democratic Party.
So far, that story has managed to fly under the radar.
If tonight's forum is obviously skewed in Clinton's favor--then the entire story about McGuire will come out. The license plate on her Buick Enclave reads, "HRC2016" for Pete's sake. The story would be very scintillating.
If you've got attack questions lobbed at Bernie and softballs for Clinton--combined with the McGuire factor--this will become a huge story. Especially in Iowa. And Iowans don't like crap like that. Many all ready don't trust Hillary and her support is eroding. If she want to ensure that it will erode further, the easy way would be to play games tonight.
All questions asked tonight, will be asked by Iowa voters. The Iowa Democratic Party, chaired by McGuire--will determine who asks the questions and what questions will be featured.
I hope that the process is fair. I have no reason to believe that it won't be fair. However, there seem to be some major conflicts of interest here. Let's hope that everyone plays fair. If they don't, they will suffer.

(5,420 posts)And very practiced answers. The questions will be slanted to show her strengths and what she imagines are Bernie's weaknesses.

(30,481 posts)Pretty obvious who people expect to look good, and who people expect to fall on their face. You flat out know Clinton will look better than Sanders, so one must start with the reasons as to why nice and early. Love it.

(30,481 posts)Simple questions.
How many states are there?
How many is he leading in considering his "meteoric rise?"
I'm sure he is leading in most. I mean you are talking space now.

(24,411 posts)talking smack like that in a thread that is all Bernie supporters. One minute, I'm reading responses on a political messageboard, the next I'm reading neener-neener-ha-ha, middle-school rhetoric.
Your off-the-wall hubris is only matched by the candidate that you support.
I don't think anyone expects Bernie to fall on his face. He outperformed her in the last debate and has been rising in the polls consistently.

(41,600 posts)the internet will explode and HRH will never survive the onslaught. Her lies and slime aren't going to work against a man EVERYONE knows to be HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, AUTHENTIC and the MOST ETHICAL POLITICIAN IN WASHINGTON D.C.!
Clinton is seen as the complete opposite.
