Anyone who doesn't support the Dem nominee is insane and might as well go work for The Trump.

Sitting out because your candidate didn't get nominated is insane because it will only help the insane party's candidate win. Plain and simple. I will support the nominee. So will Bernie (who has repeatedly said so), and so will Hillary. So will Martin O'Malley. So will Obama. Simple as that. Either support the Dem nominee, or go join The Trump's campaign.

how is that any better than the foreign policy that the Republicans will be offering?

I'm not going to promise at this juncture,
that I will turn out to vote for George W. Bush's sister.

For the Democrats to nominate a NeoConservative "is INSANE",
and the PARTY should be ashamed if that happens.

Abortion rights, voting rights, etc.

I will vote for Sanders in the primary, but if Clinton gets the nomination, damn straight I'll vote for her in the general.

I agree she's fine on social/civil issues like abortion and voting rights, but she's abysmal on foreign policy and the economy.

I tend to prefer Hillary but I would be perfectly happy if Bernie Sanders or Martin O'Malley were the nominees. Either one of them beats the GOP hands down when it comes to values. I think either one would also win the general.

vote for the republican. Staying home and peeing ones pants over the nominee might feel good, but it does absolutely nothing to keep an R out of the WH in 2016. And "if" an R wins in 2016, there's going to be a whole hell of a lot more grief than not having ones preferred dem candidate win. I lean toward Bernie, but I would have absolutly no difficulty with any one of the 3 dems winning the WH in 2016.

This Bernie supporter was banned from the Bernie group by the delusional fools there who think it is okay for their members to violate the DU TOS on this issue. Skinner has clearly said that it is never appropriate to advocate against voting for the Democratic nominee. When one encourages other DUers to not vote for the nominee, that is never acceptable here.
However, the idiots in the Bernie group ban one of their own for supporting DU rules.

Would I have banned Manny? If he refused to self-delete his post, yes I would have. But I would have given him a chance to make amends first.

Skinner was very clear about the line of demarcation.

That is why I think the candidate safe havens serve absolutely no purpose except to stir the pot and make DU suck more.

GD.P is not much better. But at least one is given free rein. Too bad much of it is still rubbish.

I will be voting for Bernie in the MI primary. I will work for and vote for whoever gets the nomination in November.

Apparently that upsets too many in the Bernie group.

I used to reply to posts on the main page, without looking from what group they were. All of a sudden, I got banned from the Bernie group by with a nasty message from self-righteous Guardian of their gates, and I hadn't even noticed that I had posted there. But I don't blame Bernie for unpleasant people that support him any more than I blame Hillary for unpleasant people who support her. Even met Lanny Davis? First class asshole. But he's not running for anything. Bernie said months ago that some people who support him would end up doing things he'd have to disavow, and he was spot on. Don't stop supporting him just because of some lamebrain on DU. I'm still undecided, but I won't cross Bernie off just because of some lightweight supporters of his on DU. I say the same about Hillary, for that matter. The choice is about so much more than that.

But the thugs in the Bernie Sanders group deserve no respect whatsoever. They are jerks.

I am for Bernie in the primary. If he loses the nomination I will support the nominee, in that case probably Hillary Clinton. The Bernie group hates that, too. I think they'd rather have Trump as president than Hillary Clinton. But then again, they are a bunch of jerks.

Where the rubber meets the road, of course, is when your preferred candidate DOESN'T win. It's plenty easy for Hillary supporters to go on about loyalty pledges when she's way up in the polls.

I'll support her if she's the nominee, I've figured from the get-go she probably would be.

If she's not, though, I expect it will get mighty interesting- or at least quiet- among certain corners around here.
