Will Hillary go for a hail-mary at tonight's Town Hall?

With the new ARG poll finally putting Bernie ahead in the RCP average in IOWA and with the momentum at his back, Hillary has to do something desperate to change the narrative. The fact that this Town Hall was scheduled last minute after she fell behind makes me a bit suspicious... and knowing the Clinton's something might be up their sleeves. I'd imagine campaign operatives right now are focus group testing different "moments" right now.

Will she get misty-eyed about gun violence or thinking about all those people in Iowa who touch her heart?

Will she come up with a new attack on Bernie Sanders?

Will the DNC try to divide and conquer with a 'reparations' attack on Bernie?

What do you think?

A lot of Bernie's new found support comes from younger women leaving the Hillary camp and joining with Bernie, so if I were one of her handlers I'd imagine they are looking for some sort of tv moment to attempt to bring them back into the fold.

We'll see how it goes at 9. For the record, I'm going with yes, and it'll probably be some iteration of the first thing I listed.

All the polls showed NH going Obama by about 8 points, but then this happened right before the primary and Hillary won a stunning comeback by a 3 point margin. I'm not saying it was staged, but I can imagine the Hillary campaign is looking very closely and will try to replicate that magic this time around.

questions to ask Bernie that are potentially damaging.

If you don't believe that this can happen - check out this earlier thread here at DU: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511064059

I have confidence in Bernie's ability to field questions. He's had a lot of practice doing that every Friday on the Thom Hartmann show - Brunch With Bernie.

Hillary and her people better think twice about bringing out the attacks. It's been backfiring and will continue to backfire if they persist that this is the type of campaign they should run.

Already I fear that the deck is stacked in favor of Hillary - given who called this Town Hall and their allegiance to Hillary.

If Hillary knew what is good for her - she'd play this Town Hall straight with no funny stuff or attacks.

isn't going to make Secretary Clinton seem genuine or likable. There is a reason the party has tried to keep her off television. This will be an attempt to make Sanders look bad, not to make Secretary Clinton look good.

Probably about how Bernie's policies are not possible and that we should all be happy with what we have. Also be afraid of losing what you have.

You know, the standard conservative talking points.
