I'm not watching anymore. I like MO'M, but he's really not in contention and I can't stand to hear her laugh (I'm serious: it does hurt my ears. I have sensitive hearing to high pitches), so I'm watching reruns of "The Middle." LOL.

(14,175 posts)It was obviously a very calculated move based on inside polling. She needed to show more warmth and humor. Suddenly she was appearing on late night talk shows where she cackled through entire segments.

(14,321 posts)It lets the candidates finish their thoughts and answer the question to our satisfaction. Bernie came across as authentic and warm, but also thoughful and capable.
The first question to O'Malley was harsh, beginning with the homonym "You're history."

Hillary appears to be good one on one but awful in groups.

(11,366 posts)Don't know who to root for! I'm in Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Obviously, I adore Peyton, but I'm right next door to the Carolinas, too.
Ah well, I actually like watching the Puppy Bowl more. I love college football, but I'm not into professional as much.
Here's my pic for the Puppy Bowl. I have two black and tan dogs and another named, Charlie. This guy is black and tan and named Charlie.

the first question asked how to lower HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS that are *AS MUCH AS A MORTGAGE PAYMENT. Spot on! Or, more accurately, dead on!
Fawke Em
(11,366 posts)understand that they're out-of-pocket costs WILL go down, even if their taxes go up.
Average yearly savings is $5,000 for median income, even WITH a tax raise of $446 a year.

(3,366 posts)He aced that Experience/Judgment question -- not just saying he had the good judgment, but pointing out how he made the right decisions while Hillary did not.

(29,798 posts)...in a way the question - focused more on the sports-stats way of viewing a race - completely failed to do.
It was masterful.

(16,916 posts)Here's what I read when I opened the thread:
He did a great job.
Sure did. nt
He did amazing.
I think he was better tonight than he was in any of the debates so far.
Yes he did! I like this town hall format, too.
his forte is one on one I think, though he's amazing in a group.
...glad he did well!nt
He did a great job!
He was fantastic.
He brought home the consequences of bad decision-making...
He was great!... I agree with you!
he was okay.
I'm confident Bernie kicked ass, and I'm not worried about the taxes issue, it plays to Bernie's honesty.
Still "he was okay" made me snort

(29,798 posts)I'll take OK any day.

(16,916 posts)but all the lead up posts were so enthusiastic, it made it humorous. "Okay" wouldn't have made me laugh if it were first on the list.

(9,314 posts)and I have been listening to him for years! There were times when I knew what words were coming next!
The man is amazing. Thinking about everything he did today, and then stepping out and participating in this town hall meeting, never skipping a beat, is simply incredible. I thought he was outstanding.
Martin O'Malley seemed to do extremely well this evening. I am thinking he probably will pick up some support.
I didn't catch Hillary's segment.

End of campaign.

(29,798 posts)Fair opinion but obviously I disagree. I'm sold by his long term vision that shows me that he has - unequivocally - dedicated his life to establishing and maintaining a just and fair society. In the shifting winds of our political system that guiding light has long been missing and we need it back desperately.
