Rubio?

Jeb?

Kasich?

All make me want to upchuck, then run away. Yet I think those may be the best bets in the field. It's horrifying.

I can put it back the other way, if you like.

Using an "h" instead of a "j" also occurred to me.

J/K, but this crop of Republicans do make me miss Romney's innocence. Yes, of course he is an idiot. He is out of touch. He is robotic. He is very willing to let people die so he can make a buck. But, he is so out of touch he has an air of innocence like "I don't understand why you all are so mad at me I was just looking out for the investor class, it's not my fault people lost their jobs and their homes and some people ended up homeless."

It will be between Rubio and Trump.

Rubio is now the darling of the Kochs. They're putting all of their money on Rubio.

I think they knew that Rubio wouldn't win Iowa. Iowa Republicans always pick a nut job in their caucuses. It's what they do. Rick Santorum won the last Iowa caucuses. Huckabee before that. There's enough evangelical extremists in Iowa, and they vote in high numbers, to produce some pretty horrifying results on the Republican side.

the establishment is going to lose this cycle imo

interesting about iowa politics, though. weird wild stuff.

but rubio actully has to win some primarys.problem is even if others start dropping out trump is second choice of some supporting other candiates. Now if rubio could finish second and only 7 points behind trump as youth straw poll says that could help rubio rise some In NH.still if trump polls off a win in both iowa and NH they are probally stuck with trump.

Rubio who comes off as more postive would be tougher republican to beat in november.I think Bernie can do it but it could be closer race than it would be againstt rump or cruz.

but I've heard from too many Iowans, including our own CoffeCat, who say that too many of the Bernie supporters are going under the radar and are not being counted in these polls. I guess we'll all know on Monday.

I think this is good news for bernie.this was conducted between kindergarden and grade 12.kids may be voting this way because of how their parents are speaking.this suggests bernie could have higher support than any iowa poll suggests.

If your O'Malley supporter this also says his support may be a bit higher than polls suggest

Not only are the pollsters not reaching cell phone users - who in this day and age answers their phone if they do not recognize the phone number?

I can't wrap my head around this & can't believe polls.

But I can believe the size of crowds.
I can believe that Bernie has cross-over appeal. When he was in Az I stood next to a middle-aged couple that were R's and were standing in a crowd of 10K people rooting for Bernie.

As they say, the only poll that matters is the one on election day. And personally I cannot wait to see Rachel, Tweety, Claire McCaskill and the rest eat their words. Nom nom nom.

once a week for 6 weeks (when the weather was warm), registering voters in the process, of course, and we re-registered several who were formerly Republicans to either Democrats or Decline to State (in California you can vote for Bernie if you're a Decline to State). I've also had SO many tell me they've never voted and/or have never been involved in a political campaign come out and table with us and phone bank with us and honk-and-wave with us. If this were Iowa, none of these people would be counted as "likely caucus goers."

So any polls in IA must be taken with a grain or two of salt.

We'll know when the results are in.
