Bernie has not stayed positive for last month? He has been negative on the stump and on Sunday news show.

DES MOINES — Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and his top advisers will gather on Wednesday to confront a decision that will have lasting consequences for his presidential campaign and his political image: whether to open a new, tougher line of advertising against his rival Hillary Clinton in the closing days of the race for Iowa.

The meeting comes as both campaigns acknowledge that Mrs. Clinton has pulled slightly ahead in polling for the Iowa caucuses on Monday. Some advisers to Mr. Sanders believe he can win here only by drawing sharper contrasts with her, especially by emphasizing her ties to Wall Street.

The senator has prided himself on running an inspiring, issue-oriented campaign, and he speaks often of how he is not interested in tearing Mrs. Clinton down.

But the decision he is now grappling with echoes questions voiced by his supporters as Mr. Sanders finds himself within striking distance of Mrs. Clinton in Iowa: Does he have the stomach to directly attack her, and potentially defeat her, or will he be satisfied having injected important issues into the race and preserving his well-earned reputation for eschewing negative campaigning?

Pointing out Hillary's record is not going "negative", if you want to see what negative really looks like check out her 2008 campaign.

Hillary's 3am commercial, her mailer on Obama and guns, her refusal to state he wasn't a Muslim, racist dog whistles, etc.

If the above is accurate, Hillary won't be able to say much without getting clobbered by charges of hypocrisy (on top of all the falsely negative stuff she's done the last few weeks)

Note to Jury: I haven't said what he'll choose, or what he should choose. I'm merely assessing the situation and the choices he has before him, and wondering what his choice will be. This is not an attack on any particular candidate or the candidate's supporters.

Soon we'll get the Woman Card, I just know it. Bernie and his Bros, beating up on an elderly woman and her entourage. (It's not ageist...we're the same age, HRC and I, that is)

New definition: attack or hating: bringing up anything uncomfortable or in direct opposition to today's views.

he tells the truth about his records and his opponents. if that seems negative, then maybe that is because his opponents record sucks.

They like their candidate because he's never run a negative ad, but want him to run negative ads against HRC.
