For MA voters: basic information about Elizabeth Warren
It rarely happens that a candidate leaves a record of where they stand and how they think, dating to before they started running for political office. Any such pre-politics record is likely to be more honest than the current campaign statements.
Elizabeth Warren left a record. Before she was a political candidate she was a law professor who investigated credit card fraud. She did two long interviews on NPR that give a good sense of what she really is about. (My favorite part: she asked a class of Harvard law school students to figure out what a standard credit card contract means. After 45 minutes they still hadn't finished.)
Also, she did an interview in 2009 about the need for bank regulations.
All this - her work on consumer protection and reigning in the big banks - this made her public enemy and chief socialist in the eyes of some Republicans. And lead her to run for the Senate.
