Bill de Blasio - Made case for Bernie, but endorses Clinton

On Hardball. We are really seeing on the left those who actually believe what they say vs those who just talk the game, but don't really believe what they say.

He literally repeated Sanders stub speech (Income Equality, Paid leave, minimum wage, etc) but says Hillary can bring new approach to Washington and can best achieve this. WTF is his smoking?

Just on practical terms, Hillary is running a narrow campaign that at best will repeat Obama '12 campaign (winning presidency, losing house/senate). If this happens, how is she in good position to get these things done?

I know...a lot of little stuff. But none of them has any better chance than Bernie's big ideas and goals.

Only thing her financiers will allow are tax cuts, SS/Medicare cuts, tax "reform", TPP/similar trade deals, and more Wars.

that he promised. That would make you learn a thing or two about the gap between ideals and the real world, or even about the complexity of issues that are easy to present as beautiful givens on the campaign trail.

It's a maturity on the part of the Mayor.

Confused. I'm well aware that Bernie proposals are unlikely and long shot.

Real naivety is believing 1) Hillary believes/intends to act on her promises 2) Even if she does, she is going to be able act on these. That is the crazy part. Hillary campaign wants us to believe that she can "convince" Republicans to subscribe to her liberal views lol

It just seems that you're upset that this progressive icon has endorsed Hillary Clinton.

RUN FOR PRESIDENT if Bernie gets the nomination. De Blasio is well known for being more pragmatic than ideologic -- identify the problem, choose among possible solutions, implement the solution.

I'm against any billionaire being involved in any way in politics, including buying themselves into office, and he's too conservative for me for sure, but de Blasio does have experience and both feet on the ground. One should not expect a person like this to be impressed with Bernie, and vice versa. Oil and water.

It's amazing how progressives like DeBlasio that support Hillary are now considered oligarch sympathizers, third wayers, Republican lite, neo liberal etc etc. Why would a progressive like DeBlasio or Sherrod Brown support Hillary? They know she is our best hope for getting things done.
