how to tell who is winning iowa before we get the results

there was a guest on ed schultz a few days ago, and he said before the candidate totals even come out, there should be people watching the number of people showing up. most agree that a very high turnout will likely benefit sanders, om, and possibly trump, while a low turnout might benefit hillary as well as the repub establishment candidates.

he said watch the numbers who show up. it will be a huge hint, and we will know that even before they are finished.

are not bothered as much by weather. as much as that could be "good" news for bernie, i would rather have good weather and get an accurate read as to his support level without a confounding variable. otoh, a win in iowa and nh will put bernie in some serious momentum!

^snip^

A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION ON SUNDAY, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING HOURS, BUT ALL EYES ON THIS SYSTEM THAT WILL BE CRUISING THROUGH TUESDAY TO WEDNESDAY. THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MAINLY STAYS TO THE SOUTH AS IT CLIMBS TO THE NORTH AND EAST.

DES MOINES, Iowa —Hazardous travel conditions are possible across Iowa Saturday-Sunday as a fast-moving system rolls through the state ahead of the next big storm system on Tuesday.

where it like snows for a few months solid. For crying out loud, do you have no relatives over 30 to be that completely ignorant of the habits of them.

I can't imagine that it is worthwhile to try to figure this out. Results will be known the next day in some detail. That's soon enough for this election watcher.

the other reason it is interesting to me is it might be a sign as to whether there will be high or low participation on one side or the other, both, or neither. could be somewhat prognosticative for the upcoming states, for those who like to guess.

the level of participation could also indicate how angry the electorate really is, esp if they support the so called outsiders.

The pulling operation is key. Get your people to the polls and you win.

I understand the storm will hit western Iowa late Monday night. IIRC, that is less Democratic than the rest of the State. The Des Moines prediction is light snow starting around 10 pm Monday. So maybe it will have less of an effect.
