Interesting article although I'd add that O'Malley IMHO does as a pretty good job. Hillary? Nope.

............."Each of these steps no doubt improved the lives of some Americans, but each of these steps was also far short of the long standing American dream of health care for all. Far shorter than the original steps taken. Bill Clinton campaigned on health care for all and eventually settled down for watered down reforms. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton filtered with healthcare for all in 2008, but today in 2016, only one candidate is pushing the progressive platform forward. That candidate is Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders is pushing to finally make the dreams of FDR a reality, to finally finish what JFK started, and to build upon the improvements which have been created since. Healthcare is just one part of the progressive dream and its one that has been consistently squandered for decades. The stakes are too high and with 29 million Americans still without health insurance, Bernie Sanderss plan is the plan America needs."

(687 posts)HRC: Hey Teddy, protecting people from rancid meat will never work. Who would ever want to visit a national park, why set land aside for the people?
HRC: Hey Franklin, you Roosevelts are so pie in the sky. Social Security? People won't get that until 65, it's so long away. They need it now not later. You should just give up on that pipe dream.
HRC: John, John, the moon is so far away, it would be hard to get there. Let's just go to the movie plex instead and see H. G. Wells A trip to the Moon. It will make you feel like you're on the moon.
Hillary is kinda reminding me of this guy....

(15,512 posts)Sorry. You can't be a progressive and vote for Iraq, defend DOMA, DADT, NAFTA, on and on including voting to build a border fence. That isn't progressivism, that's conservatism. Let's not try to rewrite history.
THIS is progressivism.

I wouldn't mind it, you know when things like this were a thing.
You have a problem with that? I don't.
