(39,451 posts)Stop the dishonest gaming the system! That also goes for the dirty McCaskill ad strategy that Republicans may now be using; it's not clever, it's crooked.

(35,619 posts)Let's say at a precinct there is a little more than enough Hillary Clinton support for 3 delegates. They could send some of their supporters to O'Malley's group so that he gets a delegate and Sanders doesn't and still have those 3 delegates.

(29,265 posts)HRC leaders are armed with an app to figure out exactly how many supporters MOM needs to hit that 15% and they can, by switching, help that group reach that figure. That's the basic idea, though there's more involved.

(7,820 posts)But reports were saying this was a tactical move the Obama campaign used in 08.
The theory seems to be keep O'Malley viable in some venues where he's on the bubble because those supporters would prob go to Sanders if he wasn't. If sending a few supporters to O'Malley's corner keeps Sanders from gaining an extra delegate they might think it worth it.

(646 posts)I attended many caucus in Iowa. This was standard fare. I do not like it, and I think it looks bad, but 'all is fair' in the the mean political streets.
