http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/weather/2016/01/31/iowa-nice-blizzard-wont-start-until-after-caucuses/79615068/Iowa caucusgoers should be fine, but Mother Nature just might hold presidential candidates and swarms of national media captive.
A blizzard is expected, but not until after Iowas politicking is completed.
Thats right, Iowa, you wont be able to blame the weather if you shrug off your civic duty.
Through about 9 p.m. (Monday) it doesnt look bad or much snow in any location, said Roger Vachalek, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. I doubt there will be much of any accumulation by that time. Maybe less than half an inch or so in some areas.

In 2012 she was eligible to vote for the first time. She was away at college. When they told her she wasn't registered there - but here, where our home address is, she talked a friend into driving her home, skipped her classes, and stood in line to vote for Obama.
This year she is a grad student and made sure to get registered in Iowa. While we haven't discussed politics much, she texted me Saturday to let me know that she - and her newly registered as a Dem boyfriend - are caucusing for Bernie today.
I'm proud that she takes her voting responsibilities seriously.
