Private Prison Lobbyists Raised Cash for Hillary Clinton:

Private Prison Lobbyists Are Raising Cash for Hillary Clinton

Lee Fang

Lobbyists for two major prison companies are serving as top fundraisers for Hillary Clinton.

Last week, Clinton and other candidates revealed a number of lobbyists who are serving as “bundlers” for their campaigns. Bundlers collect contributions on behalf of a campaign, and are often rewarded with special favors, such as access to the candidate.

Richard Sullivan, of the lobbying firm Capitol Counsel, is a bundler for the Clinton campaign, bringing in $44,859 in contributions in a few short months. Sullivan is also a registered lobbyist for the Geo Group, a company that operates a number of jails, including immigrant detention centers, for profit.

As we reported yesterday, fully five Clinton bundlers work for the lobbying and law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Corrections Corporation of America, the largest private prison company in America, paid Akin Gump $240,000 in lobbying fees last year. The firm also serves as a law firm for the prison giant, representing the company in court.

2. The Private Prison Industry is THE poster child for institutional racism in America.

I simply cannot understand how Clinton can be in bed with these people, yet people still somehow claim she is 'better' on racial issues than other candidates.

Orwell called it 'Doublethink' - the acceptance of or mental capacity to accept contrary opinions or beliefs at the same time, especially as a result of political indoctrination.

12. Apparently there are these strange things in string theory

called Calabi-Yau shapes. According to string theory brain wizards these teeny-tiny things - so small they are on the infinitesimal Planck-length scale - can hold up to seven additional dimensions. The Hillionaires seem to be hard at work exploring them. Perhaps they should check in with Leonard Susskind, Brian Greene and Ed Witten.

"If anyone doubts that the mainstream media fails to tell the truth about our political system (and its true winners and losers), the spectacle of large majorities of black folks supporting Hillary Clinton in the primary races ought to be proof enough. I can't believe Hillary would be coasting into the primaries with her current margin of black support if most people knew how much damage the Clintons have done—the millions of families that were destroyed the last time they were in the White House thanks to their boastful embrace of the mass incarceration machine and their total capitulation to the right-wing narrative on race, crime, welfare and taxes. There's so much more to say on this topic and it's a shame that more people aren't saying it. I think it's time we have that conversation."
