Iowa Has just 52 Delegates at the Democratic National Convention,

including 44 pledged delegates who must vote for candidates as proportionally determined by the caucus system. The other 8 are unpledged delegates, also known as superdelegates.

It's important to remember that those 52 delegates represent just over 1% of the total number of delegates at the national convention. There are 49 states remaining in the primary season. The delegates from those states represent 99% of all delegates.

This is just the beginning. There is a very long way to go until the convention. Keep watching. Keep campaigning. Keep helping your favorite candidate. Iowa's just one state. You probably live in a different state. It's all up to all of us.

Are you suggesting we can't draw broad conclusions from 1% of the Dem voters? brooklynite Feb 2016 #1

Next you'll be saying we have to wait for all the votes to be counted to know who won.

I like to stand back at a distance and take the long view. It helps keep my xanax consumption low.
