What an accomplishment! Bernie battled The Machine and pulled off a virtual tie.

Forget the coin tosses, the Washington-backed coronation, the Super Pacs, the media`s constant denigration of the word socialist. In fact, you can even forget Chris Matthews` disgust over the notion of this revolution headed by the "Tony Bennett guy" that all those immature youngsters seem to be flocking to because they don`t know any better. In fact, you can forget many DU postings that attempt to subvert the Bernie enthusiasm that has the potential to derail the planned enthronement. None of it worked. None of it. Bernie took on The Machine and pulled off a virtual tie.

Bernie followers are people who have the desire to wrestle control away from detached "leaders" and put that control back in the hands of the people those leaders are supposed to serve. Bottom up, not top down. That`s the idea, an idea we`ve grown so far away from that we actually make excuses for speeches ( by a self-proclaimed "progressive&quot to the tune of a quarter million dollars. A quarter million dollars....so they certainly weren`t speeches to food pantry volunteers or Meals on Wheels drivers or Detroit school janitors. Forget the Habitat for Humanity stuff, the Machine Democrats lead us straight to Goldman Sachs.

The Machine Democrats don`t even allow credit for a vote AGAINST the Iraq War. Now the pro-war votes get the credit, the opposite of when George W. Bush was president. Even an 8 x10 glossy of Henry Kissinger is cool now. Who knew?

I applaud every, single Bernie supporter....people who have stayed true to the all-for-one-and-one-for-all principles long-held by this party. There is a reason for this genuine enthusiasm and I think it has something to do with Bernie`s home-grown authenticity. That`s something that money can`t buy and political image-makers can`t create.

I`m so proud to support Bernie Sanders.

I am so proud to support Bernie Sanders, too. He's the most honest, ethical candidate of my lifetime, and I believe in his vision for this country. I'll fight for Bernie because he fights for us.
