Is Mittens Really a Serious Candidate?

I've been having fun making up zingers for both candidates (I borrowed a few for Mitt but almost all are mine) but I got to thinking about it from a more serious standpoint.

What does it say about someone's judgment, if the fact that these zingers are being created and then memorized by Mitt is true? At first I thought it was a joke or a dig at Romney type story. But it seems it is probably true.

Also what does it say about the judgment of the campaign? Don't they have an idea it might backfire and people might say "if that's all he can do, then he'd be a lulu of a president!"

It's almost surreal and in the vein of Saturday Night Live.

Is it all about winning only and not really taking substantive debate seriously? That seems to be where Romney is coming from with his campaign--just superficial stuff.

And, if that is the case, what does it say about his ability to really dig deep and come up with some good ways to communicate and to also come up with some good ideas. It seems like everything he says and does is only for one purpose--BEING president. Never mind the reality of it and the inability to be more than just a "figurehead". And, he has no original ideas, just borrowed old republican failures for the most part.

to be a figurehead only president...like bush only moreso. He doesn't need to do any deep thinking, just be able to sign his name.

The real underlying problem is that he has been in a bubble his entire life, and honestly does not understand that.

Nor does Ann.

They think that because they do certain relatively normal things, like get married, have kids, he has held a job or two, they think that they aren't much different from most people. And the people around them also have boats and several homes and they drive expensive cars and probably never fly on a commercial airliner. So that's how everyone they know lives.

In addition, Mitt has always had the Y chromosome privilege. (I have two X's myself, but I have the White Person Privilege) He's a member of a church that values males far, far more than women. Worse, possibly than the Catholic Church. For all his talk of living at that little apartment while in college, and the tragedy of having to sell some stock so that neither one of them would have to take a job while he was in grad school, they have simply never had the kind of normal sort of life that the vast majority of us have. And he just doesn't get it that he's lived his entire life in total privilege.

Being president it NOT about being a good businessman, and I'm not even sure he's that. He's a crook who doesn't give a damn about any of us. The very worst person to run for that office, in a long list of repugs who have held that office-- with the possible exception of Ike.

Each of us could make a lot of money by murdering other people but 99.99999% of the population realizes that it's a short-term gig which causes many long-term problems. It's just wrong.

Romney arbitraged our culture into the trash can.

He found a way to exploit social conventions in ways that almost none of us would WANT to, and then congratulated himself on he's much more clever than the rest of us, even as he did long-term damage to the U.S.

with all of you! He is so out of it and out of touch, it is really quite disconcerting to think he could possibly become president. Yikes!
